The Unseen World

The film describes Newman’s spirituality and his influence on the heart and mind of his contemporaries. Converted from Anglicanism to Catholicism in 1846, John Henry Newman (1801-1890) is a prominent figure of the Victorian England.

Catholic priest and famous writer, he was beatified by the Pope Benedict XVI on the 19th of September 2010. He is an erudite, but he speaks with simplicity of God and faith and his words touch everybody’s hearts. In fact, his motto is “Cor ad cor loquitur” (Heart speaks to heart). The film explains the beauty of the priestly chastity, the spiritual friendship between Newman and father Ambrose St John and also other people’s stories, that interlock with Newman’s life.
